Artificial Intelligence and its Preclinical Applications at Bayer Pharmaceuticals
ABSTRACT:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping knowledge work across industries, and the pharmaceutical sector is no exception. The specialized nature of pharma R&D, however, requires AI algorithms to be tailored to the specific scientific problems being faced. In this talk, I will provide examples (from Bayer and beyond) of how AI can be used to improve pharmaceutical research and the early stages of development, including in the discovery of novel biological targets and the prediction of drug candidate properties.
