The Data Controller
The Data Controller is the Pharmaceutical Industry Association (AFI), in the person of the President and legal representative pro tempore Dr. Giorgio Bruno domiciled for the office in Milan at the AFI headquarters, Viale Ranzoni n. 1, Tel. 024045361, Fax 0248717573, e-mail segreteria@afiscientifica.it, PEC afipec@legalmail.it.
This information is included on the AFI website in order to provide information to interested users regarding the use of the personal data in its possession.
Object of the treatment
The personal data held by AFI are collected directly from members, or in other forms required by law. The data is processed in compliance with the obligations of correctness, lawfulness and transparency imposed by the aforementioned legislation, protecting the confidentiality and rights of the interested parties. The provision of the data requested with the various forms prepared by the AFI is mandatory, pursuant to the applicable laws and regulations in force and failure to provide them could jeopardize access to the requested service.
Purpose of the processing
The personal data provided by you are necessary for the obligations required by law, the internal accounting of the AFI, for maintaining the list of members and for carrying out the associative projects for which the AFI is responsible. In particular: the management of the list of members, including any changes, cancellations carried out with and without the aid of IT tools. Furthermore, the data may be processed for activities aimed at encouraging members in carrying out association activities. Finally, personal data may be processed with reference to professional, cultural and/or recreational training and/or refresher initiatives (directed to members and non-members) whose organization the AFI is, even if only partially, responsible for, for the purposes strictly necessary for the organization of the initiative, management of registrations, collection of participation fees and in any case for all those that are necessary for the provision of the requested service.
Legal basis of the processing
The legal basis of the processing is the fulfillment of legal obligations as well as the execution of tasks of association interest with which the AFI is invested. Where data processing is carried out outside this legal basis, information will be provided and consent to processing will be requested.
Treatment and conservation methods
The processing will be carried out automatically and/or manually, in compliance with the provisions of the art. 32 of the GDPR 2016/679 regarding security measures, by specifically appointed individuals and in compliance with the provisions of the art. 29 GDPR 2016/679. We inform you that, in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, purpose limitation and data minimization, pursuant to art. 5 GDPR 2016/679, subject to your free and explicit consent, your personal data will be kept for the period of time necessary to achieve the purposes for which they are collected and processed. Any refusal to provide consent for processing could imply the impossibility of carrying out the requested activities.

Informiamo inoltre che i dati raccolti non saranno mai diffusi e non saranno oggetto di comunicazione senza Suo esplicito consenso, salvo le comunicazioni necessarie che possono comportare il trasferimento di dati ad enti pubblici, a consulenti o ad altri soggetti, anche in qualità di responsabili esterni del trattamento, per l’adempimento degli obblighi di legge.
Data controllers
For the purposes previously indicated and the achievement of the associative purposes of the AFI, personal data may be communicated to third parties appropriately designated "Data Controllers", such as data digitization service companies, archiving, provision of organizational secretariat, packaging and sending of newsletters, e-mail management, as well as to financial institutions.
Rights of the interested party
At any time, you may exercise, pursuant to articles 15 to 22 of EU Regulation no. 2016/679, the right to:
a) request confirmation of the existence or otherwise of personal data;
b) obtain information regarding the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be communicated and, when possible, the retention period;
c) obtain the rectification and deletion of data;
d) obtain the limitation of processing;
e) obtain data portability, i.e. receive them from a data controller, in a structured format, commonly used and readable by an automatic device, and transmit them to another data controller without impediments;
f) object to the processing at any time;
g) ask the data controller to access personal data and to rectify or cancel them or limit the processing that concerns them or to oppose their processing, in addition to the right to data portability;
h) revoke consent at any time without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before the revocation;
i) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You can exercise your rights with a written request sent to the Pharmaceutical Industry Association (AFI), to the postal address of the registered office rather than to the email address segreteria@afiscientifica.it or PEC afipec@legalmail.it
