The current Italian healthcare landscape is undergoing profound change, driven by the implementation of the European Regulation on Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and the evolution of market access strategies. The aim is to ensure fair, sustainable, and timely access to therapeutic innovations, while maintaining the robustness of regulatory processes. This session aims to analyze the path from regulation to concrete impact, highlighting how new rules and guidelines influence pricing and reimbursement decisions, innovation criteria, and the evaluation of healthcare technologies, and how our institutions have transformed themselves to remain at the forefront at the European level.
Through institutional contributions and discussions among experts, the operational challenges and opportunities for translating the legislation into tangible results for the Italian healthcare system will be explored in depth.
